Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and VOLTGENIX LLC (operating as Ash Build, "we", "us") covering your use of the Respawn Maps app. By installing or using the app, you accept them.

1. Safety — read this one

⚠️ Do not operate the app while driving. Set your destination before you move off, and mount your device so you are not holding it.

The app shows a map and speaks directions. It cannot see the road. Route data comes from Mapbox and can be wrong, out of date, or unsuitable for your vehicle: a road may be closed, one-way, weight-limited, seasonal, or simply not there any more.

You are responsible for driving safely and legally. Obey road signs, signals, and the law at all times, including any local law about mounting or touching a phone while driving. Where the app and the road disagree, the road wins.

The app is not designed or certified for emergency, aviation, marine, or commercial dispatch use.

2. What you get

The free version gives you the map, one map style, search, up to three saved places, and turn-by-turn guidance.

Pro is an optional purchase that unlocks the remaining map styles and removes the saved-place limit. Available as a monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. There are no advertisements in the app, in either version.

3. Purchases, renewals, and refunds

Purchases are made through Google Play and are governed by Google's payment terms. We never see or handle your payment details.
A monthly subscription renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time in the Google Play app under Subscriptions; cancelling stops the next charge and you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.
A lifetime purchase is a one-time payment for the life of the app. It is not a promise that the app will be published forever.
Refunds are handled by Google Play under their refund policy. We cannot issue a refund for a Play purchase ourselves.
Use the Restore purchases button in Settings if you reinstall or change device. Restoring requires the same Google account that made the purchase.
Prices are shown in your local currency by Google Play before you confirm. We may change prices for future purchases; a price change never applies to a billing period you have already paid for.

4. Fair use of the service

Search and directions run through servers we pay for per request. Please do not use automated tools to send bulk requests, decompile the app to extract keys or call our endpoints directly, or resell access to the service. We may rate-limit or block usage that threatens the service's availability or cost.

5. Map data and attribution

Map data is provided by Mapbox and OpenStreetMap contributors and remains theirs. The attribution shown in the app is a licence condition — do not obscure or remove it in screenshots or recordings.

Your use of the map is also subject to the Mapbox terms of service: mapbox.com/legal/tos.

The app's own visual styles are our original work. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any video game, game publisher, or their trademarks. Style names describe an aesthetic, nothing more.

6. Your content

Saved places you create stay on your device. We do not receive them, so we claim no rights over them and cannot recover them if you lose your device or uninstall the app.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the app working but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. It depends on third parties — Mapbox, Google Play, and network coverage — and any of them can be unavailable. Guidance also requires a working GPS signal, which buildings, tunnels, and weather can degrade.

We may update, change, or discontinue features. If we discontinue the app entirely, active subscriptions will be cancelled so you are not billed for a service that no longer exists.

8. Disclaimer and liability

The app is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and accuracy of map or route data.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim.

You have statutory consumer rights that these terms do not affect.

9. Ending this agreement

You can end it at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend access if you breach section 4. Sections 5, 6, and 8 survive.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially, the "last updated" date changes and the new version ships with the app update. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the change.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States.
